TNT LIBRARY STAFF WINS COMMONWEALTH FELLOWSHIP AWARD

 
Mr. Akinniyi A. Adeleke
Mr. Akinniyi Ayobami Adeleke has won the prestigious Commonwealth Professional Fellowship Award for 2016.  The Award, which is tenable at University of East London (UEL), is an intensive internship in IT services and digital education. It will commence on March 1 and end on May 31, 2016. The programme is sponsored by Association of Commonwealth Universities.
 
Mr. Adeleke is a Principal Librarian at Tekena Tamuno Library, Redeemer's University, Ede. He is the current Chairman, NLA/Cataloguing, Classification & Indexing Section.

TNT Library Staff Attend KohaConf15

The 2015 edition of KohaConf15 begins today, October 19, 2015 at the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Ibadan.
Staff members of Tekena Tamuno  (TNT) Library, Redeemer's University, Ede are in attendance. They include Mrs. Pauline Adeniran, Mr. Bashiru Adetomiwa, Mr. J.G. Agboola and Mrs. Bennedicta Unuigbije. Others are Mr. Adeniran Daramola, Mr. Robinson Oturugbum, Mr. Kunle Alabi and Mrs. Esther Idogun.
The Conference promises to enhance on-the-job performance of the participants as new skills will be learnt.  The conference will end on Wednesday, October 21, 2015.
Tekena Tamuno Library adopted Koha as its library management software since 2011.

RUN LIBRARY HONOURS EX-MEMBERS OF STAFF

The University Librarian, Dr. E.L. Adebayo shall lead other members of library staff to acknowledge and appreciate the meritorious services of former members of staff who have served the Redeemer's University and the library department in particular between 2005 and 2011 today, February 22,2012. 

The persons to so honoured include Mr. R. Olrunsola, the former Deputy University Librarian, Mr. O.O. Osaniyi, a Principal Librarian and Mrs. Adetoun Sote, Senior Librarian. Others are Mr. Caleb Odewoye, a former Library Assistant and Mr. Adedoja Adesoji, a Senior Librarian Attendant who is now resident in the USA.

A release from the office of the University Librarian revealed that the event shall take place in the Senate Chambers of RUN at 3.00pm.  Friends of the honoured staff, both within and outside the University, have been invited to grace the occasion. Among those invited are Dr. O.G. Adeyemi, Mr. W.I. Oloyede and Mr. Adegoke, the Head of IT in RUN. Others Mrs. Angelina Ezeh, Mrs. Elizabeth Olaleye and Mr. Femi Abudu of the Booking Office of the RCCG Mission.

The event shall double as the end of the year get-together of RUN Library department.

RUN LIBRARY HOSTS NLA CAT & CLASS EXCO MEETING TODAY

The Redeemer,s University Library shall host members of executive committee of the Cataloguing and Classification Section (CAT & CLASS) of the Nigerian Library Association (NLA) today, January 26 2012 at 11.00 am in the Seminar Room of RUN registry.
NLA is the professional body of librarians in Nigeria while the CAT &CLASS section is the arm of association that draws librarians together annually for the purpose of enhancing access to knowledge and providing orderliness in the library.
Today's meeting, which is aimed at planning for the 2012 annual workshop, shall be presided over by the Chairman of the section, Mr. S.E.A. Sonaike, the Librarian of Lagos State University, Isolo Campus. Mr. Akinniyi Adeleke of RUN library is the Assistant Secretary of the section.
The Vice Chancellor of the Redeemer's University, Professor Z.A. Adeyewa and the University Librarian, Dr. E.L. Adebayo shall receive the visitors in the VC's office.
RUN Library wishes them a happy deliberation
